Derbyshire Community Male Voice Choir's website
Based in Derby, the choir has been singing and helping raise money for charity since 1956.
New members are always welcome. No experience is necessary but a pleasant voice, a willingness to learn and be part of a close-knit team are essential. Please see further information in the Joining the Choir section.
Total raised so far for local charities
We're looking forward to singing in this upcoming event on Saturday 28th March. Come along and support this very worthy cause whilst enjoying one of Derbyshire's most popular choirs
We received some very warm feedback from the audience at the end of this evening's performance at St Swithun's Church, Belper. Many thanks to organiser Keith Wollerton for inviting us along - the acoustics were terrific. Keith is pictured below flanked by baritones Geoff Ball and Tim Limberger
Joint Concert Alfreton Male Voice Choir
A big thank you to Alfreton MVC for hosting us in a joint concert this evening at Christ the King Church. We enjoyed a varied selection of music from both choirs before coming together for a massed finale.
Choir chairman, Kevin Griffiths, congratulated recently appointed Musical Director Nia Wyn Jones when they met today to plan an upcoming joint concert. Nia has taken on the conductor's role with Denbigh and District MVC and has already injected a lot of energy and enthusiasm into the choir's rehearsals. Both choirs will perform together at Denbigh Town Hall on Friday 17th April. DCMVC will also perform with Flint Ladies choir on Saturday 18th April as part of their mini tour of North East Wales. The weekend will conclude with a lunchtime performance at the Grosvenor shopping centre, Chester on Sunday 19th April
